Welcome to the New Website

by Monte Y. Pescador

At the beginning of 2022...

Monte and Rebecca Pescador announced they were moving from their long-time home in Northglenn, Colorado back to where they were married, Cortez, Colorado, to take care of Rebecca’s mother. This sent the parent company, Dirt ‘N’ Nails Farms Inc. (501c3) back to the drawing board. When it was first started, it was on the premise that Monte understood the vision given to him by God: A farm that sent out seedlings and supplies to help and teach people to grow food wherever they lived. Homeless families living on the farm to rehabilitate from homelessness and what brought them to homelessness. This all sounded, as I put it back then, pretty straight forward and yet impossible for one man or even one family to accomplish.

All these years later and after returning to Cortez, I came to realize that maybe I had the vision wrong. Maybe it was more metaphorical, about the spiritually lost and those hungry for relief from life’s sorrows. But that is beside the point of this blog.

This blog introduces you to the new website and why it exists. Not much has changed since the implementation of Rohi Therapy. Lacie has passed through undergrad and is taking a bit of time off before grad school while continuing her training with her mother, Kat, in neurofeedback. Kat has since finished licensing and is working on getting officially certified in neurofeedback. I am still taking clients, though few enough to not be licensed, and am now moving to Cortez to split the office in two. And, to top it all off, Dirt ‘N’ Nails is refocusing efforts. That is what the top menu now stands for.

Production and Education is my old Longhaul Preacher podcasting company turned to the production of church services and more along with my continued work with NASA’s JPL Solar System Ambassadors and other volunteer education efforts. Ministry and Church is now Longhaul Christian and will be the new church plant in Montezuma County, Colorado. And, of course, DNN is Dirt ‘N’ Nails Farms Inc., the company name that ties it all together.

I would like to take this moment to thank everyone who has come before, everyone who continues to work with us towards healing, and to let everyone know that I will continue praying for each and every one of you as I continue down my own long road home putting God first, family, including you, second, and myself last in Jesus’ name.

Amen.
