Update from the Cortez Office December 1, 2023: HO HO HO! Merry Christmas! We are very close to being open; just need to build the doors for the Whole Family Legal and Rohi Therapy office spaces and we are set. In fact, Whole Family Legal has already started having clients come in. Still, I want to give my clients more privacy. Until then, I will keep plugging away.
See us December 2, 2023 in the Cortez Parade of Lights for a coupon for a free consultation and two counseling or coaching visits. Also, stay tuned for a WFL and Rohi Grand Opening Celebration coming in January. And thank you for your patience.

A Light of Hope
We believe you can find hope in the darkness and will help guide you there. Sometimes it just takes someone to listen. Sometimes it takes someone to hear what is not being said. Always it takes caring enough to get to the truth. Are you ready?

Services
Thanks to having varied licenses and certifications between associates, we can offer a wide variety of services.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”
– Psalm 23:1-3, NASB
Counseling
This is the most basic form of mental health service, someone to listen and someone to hear what might be hard for you to hear from yourself.
Life Coaching
Offered by Monte Pescador, life coaching is the other side of the coin from counseling, looking at your future plans and reinterpreting your plans to make sure you understand all of the nuances about it and are prepared to achieve your goals.
Specialty Services
We are working to expand to specialty services that in the past have included neurofeedback and hypnotherapy. In 2023 we are adding EMDR. Keep up with us as we continue to keep learning and growing.

Specialties: EMDR
Being a “Trekkie” (or is it “Trekker”?), Monte has had a life he relates to the “El-Aurians” or “Listeners.” It has been his gift to both listen to people’s stories and to coax a little more of the story to light, finding the threads of belief that both hold the stories together and tears them apart. So, when he officially became a counselor, he gravitated towards the Existential/Humanistic therapy known as Narrative Therapy, the examination and navigation of one’s story to find the truth that lies beneith and how it can always be seen from different angles to produce different beliefs about one’s self.
Monte is working on EMDR certification, Marriage and Family certification, life coaching, and getting rectified in hypnotherapy to help those in need. As the founder of Dirt ‘N’ Nails Farms Inc. (501c3), he sees these pursuits as the Word’s (Christ’s) writing into his life, ministries that must be done simply because that is the way it is. While he also agrees this sounds more Zen than Christian, his experience with a great many religions has taught him that not everything is necessarily as it appears. That is the nature of stories.
